I stayed for 2 nights and had nothing but problems. Televisions are older-model tube types with very spotty analog cable. But the staff was very helpful in answering our questions. We needed to ask for an ironing board and an ice bucket, and the hours of room service. Since the hotel did not provide a book outlining all of their services, we needed to ask several questions at the front desk. Walls are somewhat thin, as we could hear conversations and television noise from a neighboring room. The valet guys are prompt and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. As others have indicated, the hotel boasts a "beach" theme with an indigo and yellow color scheme on the walls and furnishings. The hotel is nicely situated in the city's downtown area with several restaurants and bars within walking distance. We stayed at the Indigo for a few days on a sight-seeing trip to Dallas and the surrounding areas. I'll make earlier reservations next time. That requires one to negotiate a bunch of one-way streets in order to find the way back to the actual hotel entrance.īottom line.if you must pay as much as we did, there are a number of much nicer places to stay in downtown Dallas, all of which happened to be full on the night we wanted. And, by the way, the hotel entrance in not on the street listed as the address. The lobby is small the bar was not open when we returned from our engagement, must to our chagrin, and there is not an entry ramp for parking while registering.you must stop on a busy Dallas street. The room was priced like all the rest of downtown Dallas hotels, but without their amenities. If we had gotten a bargain price for this room, I would have tolerated the downside much easier, but we did not. Everything was mostly clean and well kept the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly. The closet in our room was inconveniently in the bathroom behind the bathroom door when opened the sink area was minuscule the shower however was roomy. But, the rooms have a European feel, translate that to mean smal,l particularly the bathrooms. Paint in bright colors covers many layers of old, as does new flooring etc. Hotel indigo is an older property, newly refurbished, but there are limits to what one can do to upgrade an old downtown hotel.
