This is an easy to assemble set and has great detail. At time of purchase this product had one review which was not a verified, but took the plunge anyway. In build time, you are looking at around 15 hours or so if you take time to study and go back over previous sections to ensure you are doing the steps correctly, as if you mess up one stage then you will notice it down the line at the next stages. It has close to 2400 individual parts and was about 150 shy of the defender. This set seems yo be relatively new and was £170 at the time of purchase. I searched the Amazon market for another set (primarily another aimed at adults) and came across this. I recently purchased the Lego Rover Defender set which took me close to 20 hours to aseemble. My only annoyance is that Amazon emailed me about a fortnight after I bought it to say it had gone down £30 (why do you do that Amazon!!! !!!!), oh, and that I now have an expensive Lego addiction to feed. The attention to little details is astounding like the engine bay, the seat that pops out the side, the little remote control vehicle that roll out the trapdoor underneath. The manual is clear and easy to follow, as you'd expect from Lego. It probably took me about 28-30 hours in total to build. I did see this in the Lego shop in Bluewater Shopping Center and was a bit awestruck then, so this was the one I went for, and I certainly haven't been disappointed. As soon as the last brick went on that I started seeking out the next "project". My son got me a Mustang set for my birthday last year and it took me about 6 months to get round to making it. I thought my Lego days were way in the past.
